Body Parts Scandal

The firm represents a Philadelphia-area woman who received tainted bone and bone marrow during a spine surgery in 2004. She has tested positive for Hepatits C. The donor material she received is part of a nationwide recall of human tissue collected from cadavers at funeral homes in New York and Philadelphia. The body parts, including bone and skin for surgical grafts, allegedly were not properly screened, tested and decontaminated before being distributed to surgeons and hospitals across the country.

The firm is investigating claims on behalf of other individuals who received the recalled human tissue. Hundreds, perhaps thousands of patients have received tainted body parts. If you believe you are involved in this recall or know someone who is, please feel free to submit a contact form.
