The firm’s practice is diverse, but always with an emphasis on civil trial work. Some of the other types of cases we have handled or are currently handling:
- Mr. Layser obtained a confidential settlement for a suburban family who tragically lost a 2 year old son as a result of a choking incident at a nursery school. The lawsuit alleged negligence in the preparation and handling of the food for the child, as well as improper resuscitation measures when the child began choking. The case settled during a mediation before a retired federal Judge after extensive discovery.
The firm is handling multiple cases against government hospitals, which must be brought under the Federal Tort Claims Act. The firm also handles out-of-state cases, when warranted including representation of:
- A teenage boy and his family in the midwest for catastrophic bowel injuries due to medical malpractice.
