Premises Liability
The attorneys at Layser & Freiwald have extensive experience handling claims involving premises liability. These cases often involve extremely complex issues of law that should be handled by lawyers who are very familiar with the issues. Also, when the injuries are substantial, it is critically important that the attorney be committed to presenting the damages part of the case effectively so as to maximize the potential recovery for the client.
Some cases the firm has handled recently or is now handling include:
- Mr. Layser achieved a significant settlement on behalf of two college students who died in an apartment fire. One of the individuals died after going back into the burning blaze to try to rescue one of his friends.

- Mr. Freiwald obtained a significant six-figure settlement for a woman who was struck by an automobile in a defectively designed parking lot in South Philadelphia.
- Mr. Layser represented the estate of a child who choked and died while under the care of a daycare facility.
- Mr. Freiwald achieved a six-figure settlement on behalf of a young boy who was seriously injured at a moto-cross event where he was a spectator. In order to achieve the settlement, Mr. Freiwald successfully argued that a waiver of liability signed by the parents could not legally waive the minor child’s right to sue for his injuries.
